      My name is Mrs. Milam and I am the general/vocal music teacher at Kemptown Elementary School.  I am currently in my seventh year at Kemptown and my ninth year teaching for FCPS.  I graduated with a BA in music education and vocal music from Alderson-Broaddus College, in West Virginia.  I love teaching music and working with students at the early stages of their music learning and development.  Most of the students will tell you that we love to play games and do movement activites and I truly believe that through these types of activites, ALL students can learn and appreciate music.  I am currently a graduate student at Towson University where I am working on a special Dalcroze-Orff-Kodaly certification as well as my Masters in music education.  On top of my teaching duties at Kemptown, I serve as the coordinator of the FCPS Elementary Honors Chorus.
