Welcome to my Staff Webpage.  The 2006-2007 school year proves to be an exciting one.  My name is Barbara Shelley.  I am the Reading Recovery Teacher Leader for Frederick County Public Schools.  I have been teaching for 21 years.  I am certified as a Special Education teacher, a Reading Specialist and a Reading Recovery Teacher Leader.  I taught for 11 years in Pennsylvania as both a Special Education Resource Room teacher as well as a Reading Recovery Teacher Leader.  I moved to Maryland in 1997 and continued teaching first in Montgomery County and then in Frederick County.  I also teach courses for McDaniel College in  the Graduate Reading Program.
