This is my 22nd year as an Art educator. Having previously taught Middle and High School, the Elementary age student  has claimed my heart. This is my 11th year at Kemptown. Besides teaching in the art classroom I am also the Teacher Specialist for Elementary Art for FCPS.  I hold an Advanced Professional Certificate in Art Education K-12. I am a graduate of  the University of Maryland.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, knitting, playing with my 3 Schnauzers (Mikey, Petey and Gabbi) and of course creating Art by drawing, painting, drawing and working in clay.

In May, I was awarded The Washington Post Agnes Meyer Teacher of the Year.
