   I want to thank those of you who expressed concern for my daughter after her devastating accident.  We almost lost her when she was struck by a car as she was walking in a crosswalk on her college campus, but we were very lucky.  Bria is doing well.  She has almost fully recovered physically from her trauma.  The traumatic brain injury has come a very long way.  She has really made remarkable progress from day one when they told me she probably wouldn't survive the night.  She did have to withdraw from JMU for the semester, which saddened her deeply.  But she will be returning for the fall semester.  

   Thank you for the cards, e-mails, phone messages, prayers, flowers, gifts, and kind thoughts.  We were all deeply touched by the outpouring of love and concern for Bria.  It was truly a humbling experience.  I cannot thank you enough for caring about my child.
