WELCOME to 7th Grade Language Arts!

Who am I?

My name is Emily Sherman, and I am going into my 4th year of teaching Language Arts.  I am originally from Western Pennsylvania and moved here to Frederick County immediately after graduating from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

What is it that I teach exactly?

Well, 7th grade is a transitional year for students, as it reinforces strategies and content from 6th grade but also moves students into more of a high school environment.  To practice county objectives, all 7th grade Language Arts student engage in information and texts related t 1.)  Family Dynamics 2.) Survival 3.)  Determination 4.)  Science Fiction 5.) Prejudice and 6.)  Choices.  Below is a link that will take you to a county-wide objective page.  Feel free to visit and find out what your child should be learning in 7th grade LA :)
