| Welcome to the 2006 - 2007 school year! I am looking forward to another year of greatness at Walkersville Elementary. My students made tremendous strides over the past year and I am expecting bigger and even better things in the year to come!
This will be my sixth year at Walkersville. Prior to coming to Frederick County I taught fifth grade for twelve years in a small private school in Hanover, Pennsylvania. My family and I still live in Hanover. My husband, Chad, works for CJ Miller Inc. I have two children. I have one daughter, Merideth, who is in 7th grade and keeps me very busy playing taxi for her and her friends and attending all of their activities and sporting events. I have a stepson, Colton, who is in 2nd grade and lives in South Carolina with his mother. He also loves sports and is currently playing football. His stepmom hopes that he will wear a Philadelphia Eagles uniform someday! Football is one of my passions. I did my undergraduate work at Penn State. Go Lions! I also love to cook and garden. The food network and HGTV are two of my favorite channels. Reading is the one of my favorite things that I do on a daily basis. Some nights I only able to complete a page or two but is a nightly habit that I hope that my students will develop. Some of my favorite authors are; Janet Evanovich, James Patterson, JK Rowling, and Nicholas Sparks.
