CONFERENCE DAYS  - OCTOBER 13, 14, AND 15, 2009

Ø       Evening conferences will be held on October 13 and 14, 2009.

Ø       Students arrive 4 hours later than usual.  (Doors open at 12:45 pm Class is from 1:15pm  3:45pm)

Ø       Lunch will not be served.

Ø       Conferences begin after students are dismissed.

Ø       Pre-K and Sp. Ed. Pre-K students will not attend.

Ø       Afternoon conferences will be held on October 15, 2009.

Ø       Students will dismiss 3 ½ hours earlier than usual. (Doors open at 8:45am    Class is from 9:15 am -12:15pm)

Ø       Breakfast and Lunch will be available for students.

Ø       Last conference is scheduled to be over by 4:00 p.m..

Ø       Pre-K and Sp. Ed. Pre-K students will not attend.

BOOK FAIR

The Scholastic Book Fair will be running from October 9-15.  Please feel free to stop by and purchase some exciting books for children.  The Book Fair will be open during our parent-teacher conference days.  Your children will be visiting the Book Fair in the Media Center to view books and create a wish list.

FALL FESTIVAL

The Fall Festival will be on Friday, October 30th.  Parents will receive letters from the classroom teachers about their parties and costumes.  There will not be a school parade.  Remember that this day is also a 2-hour early dismissal.

PTA  NEWS

Ø       The Innisbrook Fundraiser pick-up will be on Thursday, October 22nd from 6:30pm  until 8:00pm in the Cafeteria.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact Christa Oakley (301) 845-1193 or cjoakley@verizon.net

Ø       Glade Spirit Wear is now for sale!!  Samples are on display in the lobby.  Please return order forms with check payable to Glade PTA by Friday, October 9th.  Contact Jamie Rausch at 301-845-6035 with questions.  Thank you for supporting Glade and showing your school spirit!

Ø       Keep collecting those BoxTops. The PTA will have a Pizza Party for the class that collects the most. Be sure to put your teacher's name on the envelope or Ziploc of the BoxTops that you submit. All BoxTops need to be turned in by Thursday, October 15th. Remember, this is an easy way to help our school raise money for books, equipment and social events.
