CLASS RULES

  1. Students must come to class prepared to work each day with their notebook/folder, pen or pencil and text book.

  1. Proper classroom behavior is expected at all times.

  1. Students are late if they are not in their assigned seat when the bell rings.

  1. No food or drinks will be permitted in the classroom; except water.

  1. It is the responsibility of the student to see me the day he/she returns from an absence to find out what work was missed.  Any student who fails to turn in make-up work will lose credit for the assignment.

  1. Plagiarism is a serious offense.  Any student who copies from another student, or who directly copies from a source without giving credit to the source, will lose all credit for the assignment.  Any student who shares his/her work for the purpose of copying will lose credit for the assignment.

  1. Students are expected to do only work for my course(s) while in my class.  If a student works on any other assignment; I will take it and destroy it.

  1. Personal needs are to be taken care of between classes.  Bathroom passes will be issued only in emergencies.

  1. Personal grooming will not take place in the classroom.  That includes brushing hair, applying makeup, perfume etc.

  1. I will not tolerate any type of writing on the desks, walls or learning environment.

  1. During a quiz or a test, there will be no talking.  Any talking will result in a zero.

  1. All students are expected to use courteous language.  Derogatory remarks or swear words have no place in the classroom. 

  1. Wrong behavior consequences:

1.        Warning

2.        ____________, see me after class, change seat

3.        Parental contact, after school detention

4.        Referral to Administrator

  1.  In my absence, all students are expected to treat a substitute with respect.

I have read the rules to follow in Mrs. Martin's classroom and I agree to abide by them.
