My name is Melissa Byrd and I am from Germantown, Maryland. I attended Hood College where I earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on a Masters Degree in Reading Specialization. This will be my fourth year teaching at Monocacy Elementary. My hobbies include: camping, remodeling my home, gardening, and playing with my dogs (Axel and Lola).

My name is Peggy Dwyer and I am from Baltimore, MD, but have made my home in Frederick since 1972. I earned my B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Towson University and a M.A. from McDaniel in Curriculum and Instruction. I started teaching in Baltimore. I have taught kindergarten, first grade and Targeted Intervention in Frederick County. I love to relax at the movies or Starbucks. I enjoy traveling and shopping.
