Jan Tuck

      Hello!  I am the Learning Language Support Program teacher at BCES.  This is my eighth year in this program.  Although I have taught 14 years in the second and third grades at Middletown, Green Valley, and Walkersville Elementary Schools, I love teaching this specialized program at Ballenger Creek.  Students and parents are awesome in this community.  I am a member of the Frederick County Reading Council and Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority.  I have a B.S.  from Radford University and a M.A. from Hood College.  At home I enjoy spending time with my husband and one remaining daughter who is a senior at Urbana High School.  My oldest daughter graduated from Virginia Tech last December.  She is a program analyst with Camber Corporation in  Falls Church and loves her new job.  Some of my favorite pasttimes include walking my two Cairn terriers, skiing, traveling, hanging out by the pool,  and, of course, reading.
