Meet Mrs. Brown

Mrs. Brown

Hi,  I am Mrs. Brown.  I have been teaching Physical Education in Frederick County since 1975.  I taught in Rahway, NJ. and Montgomery County, Md. before coming to Frederick.  I've enjoyed my many experiences over  the years...meeting many Principals, Staff, Students and Parents.  I have taught at Ballenger Creek Elementary since 1991.

I enjoy  dancing, doing crafts, gardening and spending time with my family especially my precious GRANDCHILDREN!!!  My husband, Floyd, enjoys those little ones too!!!  My daughters, Kim  and Jenita, live in Frederick with their families...making it very convenient for me to see those Little People anytime I want to!!!

The emphasis in Physical Education is FITNESS. Students are encouraged to value fit, Be fit.   Students should workout at least 60 minutes a day including exercises from the four fitness components  which are cardiorespiratory endurance,  flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance.

Our Runner's Club meets every Tuesday  morning  from 7:55-8:30.  Students will be learning to pace themselves in order to become better distance runners.
