Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Hello, I'm Miss Cook!  This is my second year at Kemptown Elementary, and my ninth year teaching.  I grew up in Maryland, with my brother and sister.  I went to college in West Virginia, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Shepherd University.  I spent seven years teaching in WV before returning to Maryland.

Being in fifth grade is an exciting year!  Students will have the chance to join clubs like the Kemptown Caring Kids Club.  They will be able to listen to community members talk about their careers during Learning Lunches.  Fifth graders get to be Safety Patrols and Peer Mentors.  It is a lot of responsibility, but the students at Kemptown are ready for it!  I enjoy fifth graders because they are excited to find out about the world and contribute to it.

Soon to come. . . Weekly Homework Page
