Personal Information:

I have taught Physical Education and Health in Frederick County since 1978.  Two years at Linganore High School, twenty-one years at New Market Middle and the rest of the years at OAKDALE MIDDLE.

Education:

I am a graduate of Catoctin High School, Frostburg State College and have done graduate work at Western Maryland College, Hood College and taken many courses through MSDE.

Professional Development:

I work with new Middle School Physical Education teachers as a curricular teacher, have worked 25+ years developing Frederick County Physical Education and Health Essential Curriclum, served on the committee that developed the State Voluntary Physical Education Curriculum and also served on the Frederick County Audit committee for Physical Education and Health Curriculum.  At the school level I serve as our Department Chair and am on the School Im[provement Team.    

Interests / Hobbies:

• Walking/ Working out at Curves

• Work outside in my flower gardens

• Boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay

• Loves cats- I have a 20 pounder named Mervin and adopted Little Cat. 

• Enjoys being around friends and family

• Field Hockey - officiating in Frederick and Montgomery County since 1978.
