Hello! My name is Marcia Forsythe - I LOVE kids! I have worked at Kemptown Elementary with fabulous "Kemptown Kids" and staff for 16 years! I wear many hats and love every one of them! My duties here at school are primarily working with kindergarten children. I work with all four classes. I meet with small groups of children each day. We learn our letter sounds and practice writing letters and words and by the end of the year, sentences! I not only teach these children, but not a day goes by that I don't learn something from them! My Kemptown friends are S U P E R !!
I also copy papers for the teachers and help volunteers find the paper, scissors, tape, glue etc. If you need help or can't find something, come look for me!
You can also find me in the cafeteria performing as the"Cafeteria Lady". The children have given me this title! I just L O V E this time of day as I open milk cartons, cut the top off ketchup packets, clean up spilt milk, and answer a millon questions such as..."can I tell a joke today?" "May I take the trays back today?" or "May I stay and help clean up?"
I am back in the cafeteria at the end of each day for parents picking up "car riders". Next time you come to pick up your child, I'll be sitting at the table watching the children come down the ramp to meet their parents.
I have been happily married for 34 years to my husband Barney. He is a retired Montgomery County Police Captain. He LOVES to play golf, golf and m o r e golf now that he is retired. I have 3 wonderful sons and two fabulous daughters-in-law. I became a "Nana" on April 16, 2006. I have a grandson named Clayton and is he cute!! I have 3 more grandchildren - Ava, age 2 going on 18, Camden, age 9 months and William, age 5 weeks! I adore all of my grandchildren, and this new role in my life of "Nana" I also have a dog named Lily. She is the love of my life! She always makes me smile :). Here is a picture of my family and also a picture of Lily.
