Purpose of Website: To enhance the communication between teacher, parents and students. I hope that you will periodically check this website so that you may stay informed about classroom activities, projects and tests. Only as a team can we effectively educate students.
What is happening in 6th Grade Science: Currently we are studying the Human body in balance unit. Our current focus is the structural systems (skeletal, muscular and skin).

Nov 18: Global current event.
Nov 21 Cycle Poster (integrate all three cycles from CW#9 into one accurate, organized and complete diagram.) Make sure the cycles are integrated together! Color coded arrows are a good idea.

Dec. 8 (recently extended) Data and Graphs are due for the Science Fair projects. (students that require extra time for their data may request an extension with out penalty)

Dec 22 Final Science Fair Project
Students should be Journaling every night. Journal entries should include: "What did we do in class?", " What did we learn?" and a question relevant to the material covered that day.
Students who performed poorly on Major tests may raise their score to a 70% by writing one sentence for each incorrect answer, explaining the correct answer. Sentences must prove understanding of the correct answer. Due one week after receiving the graded test.
