PHYSICAL EDUCATION EXPECTATIONS

1.  Walk into the Gym quietly.

2.  When whistle blows/music stops, students will stop, sit, look, and listen for directions.

3.  Dress appropriately.

4.  One speaker at a time.

5.  Raise hand to speak.

CONSEQUENCES

The following system is used in the case that students are unable to abide by classroom rules.  These were put together in order to maintain a safe and active learning environment for all students and teachers.

1.  Strike 1:  student will remove themselves from the activity area, think about the choice they made and the choice they should have made, and then re-enter themselves in the activity when they are ready (should not take any longer than 30 seconds).

2.  Strike 2:  same as Strike 1.  This time the student will wait for Coach to discuss the situation and help find a solution to the problem.  Once the situation has been resolved, then the Coach will inform the student when to re-enter the activity.

3.  Strike 3:  same as Strike 2.  This time the student is removed from the activity for the duration.

*A student may receive a Strike 2 or 3 the first time based on the severity of the choice(s) that was made.

*Consistent behavior resulting in these consequences may result in parent contact and/or office referral.
