Welcome to the exciting world of instrumental music!!

Your band and orchestra instructors are Mrs. De La Rosa and Mr. Smarsh.  We are at 5 different elementary schools that feed either Tuscarora High School or Frederick High School. 

These schools include:

Carroll Manor Elementary-Mondays

Ballenger Creek Elementary-Tuesdays

Orchard Grove Elementary-Wednesdays

South Frederick Elementary-Thursdays

Tuscarora Elementary-Fridays

The following information pertains to all students at all of our schools.

We offer lessons on the following instruments:

violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone and percussion.

Required method books include:

For all instruments except strings-"Standard of Excellence" Book 1

Strings-"Essential Elements 2000" Book 1

General expectations for all students are as follows:

Attend all lessons when at school (Even on shortened days)

Bring your instrument, music, and all accessories to each lesson.

Practice at least 20 minutes a day.
