Bertie Farbman grew up in Baltimore. She has taught in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and in Frederick County for 24 years. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has an Advanced Professional Certificate. She has a son who is also a Frederick County teacher. Bertie recently became a grandma for the second time welcoming a new girl, Ella into the family, joining her brother Jack. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Patty Madert was born in Syracuse, NY and grew up in Chevy Chase, MD. She received a degree in History from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and holds her Advanced Professional Certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has taught in Frederick County for six years. Her family includes husband, Bob, Kevin 15, and twins, Amy and Brian who are 13. She enjoys swimming, water skiing, and snow skiing.
Lin Dinkelacker was born in North Carolina and grew up in Virginia, England, Norway, and Germany. As you can see, she was an Air Force brat! She graduated from Hood College with a degree in Psychology and has an Advanced Professional Certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching in Frederick County for 15 years. Her family includes husband, Alan, children, Steve and Lorie and two grandsons, Tyler, a third grader and baby Ryan. She enjoys her vacation home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Susan Staley was born in Baltimore, MD. She graduated from Hood College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has an Advanced Professional Certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching in Frederick County for 12 years. She is married to Scott and has one daughter, Melissa who is in 4th grade. She enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
